High Performance Material

High performance optical grade materials are custom produced sheets in order to meet demanding requirements in flame retardancy, working temperature stability, scratch and chemical resistance.

The major end markets served by our high performance material segment are the automotive, aerospace, and medical.

In joint projects with our customer we have developed innovative solutions from the
concept all the way to mass production.

Examples

• V0 fire rated 3mm (0.118) thickness translucent tinted polycarbonate with hard coating and UV stability to be used for a leading medical device manufacturer.

• TP(a) fire rated polystyrene prismatic sheet with anti UV additive. This prismatic sheet is used in luminaires with UGR < 19 with high retardancy requirements.

• TP(a) fire rated clear micro prismatic sheet of 0.8mm (0.0314) thickness for super slim luminaires with UGR  < 19. Its prism size is 1mm (0.0393) and the prism height is 0.3mm (0.0118). This impressive thickness and prism size is achieved with unparalleled optical engineering capabilities.
